Baby's First Christmas Ornament

This double-layered ornament is one of my favorite ways to celebrate a little one's first Christmas — or to make a sweet pregnancy announcement under the tree. I laser engrave a soft, all-over pattern of baby icons (ducks, onesies, rattles, rocking horses) onto a finished maple wood arch, then layer a raised acrylic "Baby [Name]" and the year right on top in a color you pick. It's a keepsake that gets pulled out year after year, and makes a beautiful gift for new parents, grandparents, or as a nursery keepsake long after the tree comes down.
